World’s oldest dinosaur embryo bonebed yields organic remains

A 190-million-year-old dinosaur bonebed near the city of Lufeng, in Yunnan, China has revealed for the first time how dinosaur embryos grew and developed in their eggs.

The Taiwanese members of the team also discovered organic material inside the embryonic bones. Using precisely targeted infrared spectroscopy, they conducted chemical analyses of the dinosaur bone and found evidence of what Reisz says may be collagen fibres. Collagen is a protein characteristically found in bone.

“The bones of ancient animals are transformed to rock during the fossilization process,” says Reisz. “To find remnants of proteins in the embryos is really remarkable, particularly since these specimens are over 100 million years older than other fossils containing similar organic material.”…0410131216.htm

‘Alien’ Sharks are Still being Discovered

You must find the other two shark threads to follow this logic

Least we think that “weird” or “prehistoric” looking sharks are a thing of the past, they are clearly not. If this shark was found as a fossil, no doubt MSS ( main stream science ) would surely hail it as an “ancient” shark with its ‘weirdness’ appearance reenforcing the myth.

Why I am a Young Earth Creationist

Why I am a Young Earth Creationist

Coming full circle on this thread, I just wanted to summarize [ briefly, this is not an exhaustive list! ] why I stand where I stand.

Young Earth Creationsit, it’s just a title.

What it really means is I just beleive the Bible. [ our baseline from God ]

I am fully aware of the known literary devices when dealing with hermeneutics. There is allot to this can of worms

Let’s break this title down. Let’s start with “Creationist”…

Creationist: Creationism is the religious belief that the universe and life originated “from specific acts of divine creation,” as opposed to the scientific conclusion that they came about through natural processes.

So, if you are a believer in Christ, your a Creationist. No harm or confusion in this. Don’t be ashamed of this title, we have evidence that is overwhelming. Life is no accident; we are not just floating in space. There is a point to this existence.

If you read Genesis in context, at face value, it lays out a path of information in sequence that occasionally seems hard to beleive [ today. ] ( Talking snakes, a massive boat, global floods, single mankind language, etc…) Pretty amazing stuff actually.

There does not seem to be any overt literary device to ‘explain it all away’.

Could it mean just what it says? I think so.

There is far too much extra-Biblical evidence to support its statements, assertions and conclusions to just walk away and call it a myth, story or allegory etc… There is a connection between the Genesis narritive & real history that is being suppressed and/or ignored. (I wonder why? [Rhetorical]…)

From incredible global “legends” [ from many ancient cultures ] of a global deluge, giant dragons & sea monsters to multiple fresh tissue samples being found in real fossils today; you can start to see themes and the dots connect nicely. These points only crack the surface.

Recapping some Genesis points:

We have seen evidence for one base woman of all alive today-Mitochondria eve-which supports Genesis.

We only have written records from Mankind from only very recently, which supports Genesis.

We have seen that animals can “talk” or at least be taught to mimic talking, which supports Genesis

We have secular accounts of men that lived for a very long time, which supports Genesis.…ver-900-years/

We have seen that there are flood legends all over the world from many cultures which supports a global flood, which supports Genesis.

We have seen incredible global geologic evidence that supports that a Global Flood happened, which supports Genesis.

We see that people clearly walked and saw “dinosaurs”, and still do [ just extinct creatures ] which supports Genesis.

We have seen Jesus supported Genesis.

We have seen Moses supported Genesis

And we have seen that many “real” scientists support Genesis and see it in the real world!

I find it quite interesting that the most attacked [ and hated ] view of earths & mans history is the Bibles.

Why do think this is?

This is no mere coincidence.

We don’t have to be ashamed or afraid that the Bible is wrong, it is not.

It is a most exhilarating thing to realize that scripture is telling you the true truth in all it says.

I have tried to showcase in this thread that you can trust your Bible in all matters, not just the moral areas, but the historical areas as well.

*But I will add that believeing this is not required for you to be saved. The Gospel stands alone, in its power to save lost men [ and women ]. If you believe anything, believe the Gospel.

But knowing that it’s true from start to finish is an amazing boost to faith.

God has not left us alone to drift in cold deep space, but has shown us where we came from, what happened and all we need to find Him and ourselves.

Why Wouldn’t God….

Why wouldn’t God ( Who Clearly Loves us …Romans 8 among many other verses) not want to leave a clear, understandable record of our origins and condition [Genesis] ?

But a mist used to rise from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground. 7Then the LORDGod formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. 8The LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed.…Gen 2

Genesis—Myth or History?

Genesis—Myth or History?

Genesis—Myth or History?

by Ken Ham on January 24, 2017

It’s becoming increasingly popular among many Christians to claim that Old Testament characters, especially Adam and Eve, and events such as the worldwide Flood weren’t literal people or historical events. They claim they were just figures or stories created to teach some kind of theological lesson. But does biblical revelation support this position?

Well, the writers of the New Testament, or those whose words are recorded in it, certainly wouldn’t agree with these Christians. Paul, writing by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, clearly speaks against biological evolution and the idea of a nonliteral Adam and Eve when he states,

For Adam was formed first, then Eve. (1 Timothy 2:13)
In 1 Corinthians he again confirms the Genesis account of Eve being made from Adam:

For man is not from woman, but woman from man. (1 Corinthians 11:8)
The New Testament writer Jude, in his short epistle, lists Adam as an historical individual:

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam. (Jude 14)
Others claim that the account of Noah and the Flood is not history but was borrowed from ancient Near Eastern cultures to teach a theological truth about God. But if that’s true then the Apostle Peter, the author of Hebrews, and Jesus Christ—the Creator God in the flesh!—all lied because they taught that Noah was a historical individual and that the Flood really happened (Matthew 24:37; Hebrews 11:7; 2 Peter 3:5–7).

If Genesis is myth then the gospel—as it’s foreshadowed in Genesis 3:15 and 21—is myth also. The gospel is founded in Genesis and grounded in a literal Adam who literally sinned and brought literal death into creation as the penalty for sin. If Noah is a myth, then so are all those listed in Hebrews 11, such as Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, and others. Genesis is literal history!

You can learn more about the importance and relevance of a literal Genesis in my DVD presentation Relevance of Genesis, part of The Foundations collection. You can find this DVD and the whole collection at our online store. Many churches are using this DVD set (12 30-minute videos with teacher and student guides) as their foundational apologetics curriculum for young people and adults! And we’re getting rave reviews from churches.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
